High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging is a set of techniques used commonly these days in computer graphics and photography. With the advent of advanced technologies in graphics and digital photography software and hardware, a wide variety of techniques have emerged to take an individual’s photographic experience to a totally different level with a different perspective!
HDR technique allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (range of values between light and dark areas). In other words, it is a technique to tone map multiple bracketed exposures together, resulting in high dynamic range representation of an image. In laymen terms, you are merely merging multiple photos of varying exposure compensation to make up for the high extremes of light and darkness to achieve a balance. Now I am confused…
There are useful information available on the web to learn this technique. Give it a try at:

HDR Landscape Photography Tutorial
I like the latter tutorial as it gives you more detailed information about how HDR can be applied in landscape photography.
I am about to try out these techniques with my available images and will post for viewing shortly. Meanwhile, get started and rock on!
